For those with unremitting thirst with desire to drink water, Wen Ge San is indicated. (Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet))

Composition

Wen Ge (clam shell) 5 liang. The above one ingredient, make into powder; take one square-inch spoonful mixed with boiling water. Use 5 ge of liquid. (Shang Han Za Bing Lun)

Preparation

Grind the above into fine powder; each time put 4 g into hot water, stir, and take it in one dose.
