(Wai Ke Shu Yao · Luoli Section) -- As indicated by its main indications, this formula takes treating cervical lymphadenitis as its basic purpose. In children with a scrofulous constitution who develop scrofula, hilar lymph node swelling, tonsillar hypertrophy, etc., when there is inflammatory congestion in the Upper Burner, it can Clear heat, harmonize blood, and detoxify. The scrofulous constitution mostly results from inherited toxin from parents and liver congestion, causing preferences and aversions to food; its nervous disposition then impairs development.
