Composition
Fourteen pieces of Pinellia, washed and broken like jujube pits; one chicken egg, remove the yolk, put in bitter wine, and place in the eggshell. For the above two ingredients, put the Pinellia into the bitter wine, place the eggshell in a knife ring, set it on the fire, bring to three boils, and remove the dregs. Sip and swallow a little at a time; if not cured, prepare three more doses. (Shang Han Za Bing Lun)

(Modern usage: In a clay pot, first decoct 15 g of ginger-processed Pinellia with an appropriate amount of rice vinegar for about five minutes, then add an equal amount of egg white; when it turns cloudy white, remove from the fire, place in a porcelain bowl, let cool, and take frequent small sips.)
