Preparation
The above three ingredients, with seven sheng of water, boil the rice until cooked, remove the dregs, take seven ge warm, add one square-inch spoon (6g) of Chishizhi powder, three times daily. If one dose cures, do not take the rest.
Form
湯劑
Function
Warm the center, astringe the intestines, and stop dysentery.
Traditional indications
Chronic dysentery that does not heal, with bloody pus and stool, dull and not fresh in color, abdominal pain relieved by warmth and pressure, pale tongue body with white coating, pulse slow and weak, or faint and thin.
Cautions
This formula warms and astringes to stop dysentery, and is suitable for deficiency-cold chronic dysentery; therefore it should not be used at the initial stage of diarrhea or dysentery with accumulation and stagnation; or although it is chronic dysentery, if there are signs of Damp-heat, it is also unsuitable to use alone.
