For jaundice disease, when the urine color is unchanged, there is a tendency to spontaneous diarrhea, abdominal fullness and panting, one must not clear heat; clearing heat will cause retching. For retching, Xiao Banxia Tang governs it. (Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet)) -- For all vomiting where grain cannot go down, Xiao Banxia Tang governs it. Banxia one sheng, fresh ginger half jin. The above two ingredients: use seven sheng of water, decoct to obtain one and a half sheng; divide and take warm in two doses. (Shang Han Za Bing Lun)

Eliminates retained fluids and harmonizes the stomach, descends rebellion and stops vomiting. Opens the stomach and promotes digestion. Warms the stomach and dries dampness. Eliminates phlegm, descends qi, and calms the stomach.

Internal retention of phlegm and retained fluids, stuffiness and oppression below the heart, vomiting without thirst, and stomach-cold vomiting, phlegm-fluid cough.

Avoid mutton soup.
