金匱要略

When roundworm causes disease, it makes the person spit saliva, have heart pain, and attacks occur at intervals; when toxic drugs do not stop it, Gancao Fen Mi Tang (Licorice Powder and Honey Decoction) governs it. (Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet))

Licorice 2 liang, powder 1 liang, honey 4 liang. The above three ingredients: with 3 sheng of water, first decoct licorice, take 2 sheng, remove dregs, add powder and honey, stir to mix, decoct until like thin congee, take 1 sheng warm; once improved, stop. (Shang Han Za Bing Lun)
