Cautions
1. Contraindicated in patients with difficult urination caused by profuse sweating or severe purgation. 2. In those with weak spleen qi and insufficient kidney qi, excessive use of this formula may cause reactions such as dizziness, blurred vision, bland taste in the mouth, decreased appetite, and poor food intake. 3. This formula should not be taken long-term; for weak individuals it is often combined with formulas that tonify and nourish the spleen and stomach. 4. Although this formula has the effect of correcting dehydration, for severe dehydration with serious electrolyte disturbances, one cannot rely on this formula alone; other measures to correct water and electrolyte imbalances, such as fluid replacement, must be combined. 5. The traditional dosage form of this formula is a Powder; after swallowing the powder, drink plenty of water until slight sweating occurs, which is optimal; in modern times, a Decoction is generally used and taken warm, taking care not to decoct for too long, so as to avoid weakening its diuretic properties.
