Composition

Huangqi (Astragalus) three qian, Renshen (Ginseng) two qian, Gancao (Glycyrrhiza) one qian, Rougui (Cinnamon bark) (in spring and summer two to three fen; in autumn and winter six to seven fen)

Decoct in water and take.

Traditional indications

This is a general formula for treating Qi deficiency in men and women. It is most suitable for infants with fright and timidity, and for those with pox conditions who are deficient.

Heatstroke, thirst and dry mouth, tongue tending red: add Maidong (Ophiopogon): 6, Wuweizi (Schisandra): 3.
