-- Shao yin disease for two or three days, with sore throat: one may give Gancao Decoction. If it does not recover, give Jiegeng Decoction. (Shang Han Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage))

Composition

Licorice two liang; the above single ingredient, with water three sheng, decoct to one and a half sheng, remove the dregs, take warm seven ge, twice daily. (Shang Han Za Bing Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases))
