There is propped rheum below the heart; the patient suffers from severe dizziness and blurred vision; Zexie Tang governs it. (Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet))

Composition

Zexie five liang, Baizhu two liang. The above two ingredients, with two sheng of water, decoct to obtain one sheng; take warm in two divided doses.

Preparation

With two sheng of water, decoct to one sheng. Remove the dregs; take warm in three divided doses per day.

Disinhibit water and eliminate rheum, fortify the spleen to control water.

Traditional indications

Water stagnates below the heart, clear yang fails to rise, turbid yin rebels upward, causing head and eye dizziness. Otogenic vertigo.
