Form
湯劑
Function
Warm the middle and astringe the intestines to stop diarrhea.
Traditional indications
Chronic dysentery that does not heal, with pus and blood in the stool, of a dark and dull color, abdominal pain that is relieved by warmth and pressure, a pale tongue body with a white coating, and a slow, weak pulse, or a faint, thin pulse.
Cautions
This formula warms and astringes to stop dysentery and is suitable for chronic dysentery of deficiency-cold; therefore, it should not be used when diarrhea or dysentery has just begun with accumulation and stagnation. Even if it is chronic dysentery but with Damp-heat signs, it should not be used alone.
